The theme from Team Wendy is

Use A Stencil

I've made a card featuring Garfield from The Sassy Club. The background is a stencil from AALL & Create which is kind of fish like. No lasagne stencils were available...lol.

Vera Lane Studio - Superheros

Happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing my Vera Lane Studio DT project featuring this week's soft release called Superheros which is available from the Etsy shop.

I've made two tags this week using the Sam Poole Tattered Tags die.

For the first tag I used Superman. I coloured him with my Copic markers and fussy cut him out.I used the #126 Lotza Starz stencil and Liquitex light modelling paste and added some textured stars to the tag. Next I spritzed Prize Ribbon and Festive Berries distress oxides on my glass mat and smooshed the tag in each colour separately drying in between. I also stamped #485 Reverse Stars randomly using Prize Ribbon, Festive Berries and Versafine Clair Cheerful. I adhered a scrap piece of yellow zig zag paper and punched out a couple of stars from it. I then adhered Superman and the sentiment which I printed on my PC. I finished off by adding the two yellow stars.

For the second tag I used Spiderman. I also coloured him with my Copic markers and fussy cut him out. I used the same tag die cut as the first and the same smooshing technique only with Black Soot as well. I then stamped the circles from #338 Background Noise randomly with Versafine Clair Nocturne.Next I added the spider web die cuts using the Cheery Lynn corner die. I used the word fun from the washi tape and added it near the bottom of the tag. I then added Spiderman with some black netting behind him. To finish off I added the sentiment from the set.

Digital Guest Designer - Whimsy Stamps

I'm delighted to have been asked by the lovely Wends to be a Digital GDT for Whimsy Stamps for the month of July.

For my second project I've made a circle card using the Elania mermaid digi stamp.

I cut my circle background out and using Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean Distress Oxides spritzed with some water on my glass mat, I smooshed the colours on using scrunched up cellophane. Drying it between colours. I then blended the same colours through the bubble stencil using my blending brushes. Once that was done I added some extra colour to the outside of some of the bubbles using the Ecoline waterbrush markers and pulled the colour out with my waterbrush. I then stamped the plants and little circles from the Art By Marlene #47 set in Versafine Clair Monarch. I used my white gel pen and used the stencil to create white circles of varying sizes. I then used my white and violet Posca pens to add some paint splatters.

I coloured the beautiful Elania mermaid with my Copic markers adding highlights with my white gel pen. I mounted her on 3D foam pads and adhered her to the card. I printed out the sentiment from the Whimsy Stamps Best Fishes digital set and added it too. To finish off I added the Bubbles from Little Things from Lucy's Cards

Vera Lane Studio - Pizza My Heart

Happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing my Vera Lane Studio DT project which is featuring Pizza My Heart which is available in the Etsy shop.

Today I'm serving up a 6 inch well fired pepperoni pizza as my project. As much as my husbands family are Italian I'm not a huge pizza fan. Probably why it's well fired...LOL.

You really do need to use your imagination a bit here.

(and read the bits in brackets in an Italian accent!)

I started by applying some texture paste using the AALL And Create stencil #88Ring The Changes. Once it was dry I smooshed it in some Crackling Campfire and Festive Berries distress oxides mixed with water. I then cut them out with a circle die. I then inked around the edges with some Crackling Campfire.

(That's a the pepperoni!)

I did the same smooshing technique on my 6 inch pizza base. I then stamped one of the stamps from #338 background noise in Candied Apple.

(That's a the tomato!)

I also stamped one of the script stamps from the same set in Vanilla  Paperartsy acrylic paint.

 (That's a the cheese!)

I then added the pepperoni and used my Black Zig watercolour pen to ink around it and the base.

(That's a the well fired effect!)

I then used my black Posca paint pen to add splatters.

(That's a the cracked black pepper!)

I finished with the heart from the digi set and inked it with Cracked Pistachio DO and stencilled it with the same stencil using Lucky Clover DO.

(That's a the Basil!)

To finish I coloured my image with copics and cut her out. I then added the sentiment and doodled with my black fineliner around it, and some black watercolour underneath to tie it all in.

Vera Lane Studio - New Dress (Boutique)

Today I'm sharing my Vera Lane Studio DT project featuring New Dress which is available in the Etsy shop.

I decided to make one of Janet's little rooms that she showed on a Facebook live last Sunday. It's pinned in the announcements in the group if you missed it.

I started with the floor and added a very light layer of Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide with my blending brush. Next I took the Lushly Leafy stencil and blended some more Hickory Smoke. This time I made it a bit darker and tried to keep it centred in the middle of the floor. I then doodled around it with my black fineliner so it looked like a rug.

I coloured my image with copic markers and cut her out and placed her to one side
I printed out some of the precoloured dresses and glued them to the floor adding coat hangers. She obviously didn't like those dresses as she's chucked them on the rug!

I did the walls next. I added some Wilted Violet,Spun Sugar and Picked Raspberry DO's to my glass mat and spritzed with water. I then smooshed my walls in it to give a mottled look. I then took the Ring The Changes stencil and blended some Picked Raspberry through it. To finish the walls, I stamped #304 Heartfelt with Versafine Clair Purple Delight randomly in places.

I used the Windows set and printed out the door with the word Boutique added. I also stretched one of the windows to make it longer. I coloured them all grey and added silver mirror card behind the mirror. I adhered them to my room.

Next I used the Mid Century Modern set and printed out the chair and table. I stencilled the chair with Hickory Smoke to match the rug. I also printed out two of the plants from the Succulents set and a coffee mug and vase of flowers from the Coffee Love set.

To finish it off I doodled my own frame round the sentiment from the New Dress set and hung it on the wall like a picture.

These little rooms are so much fun and the possibilities are endless.

Sweet Stampin' Challenge

Saturday and another new challenge at

This week the theme from Team Abi is
Use A Stencil

I made my own stencil using my Sue Wilson stitched cloud dies and a blank stencil sheet. I could have used some card for it but with the stencil sheets I can use them over and over as they just wipe clean. I started at the top of my sheet of card and inked using my Distress Inks, the colours of the rainbow starting with the last colour. I then moved the stencil down and carried on repeating with the different colours. When I'd finishing I cut out some white card using the same die and placed it at the bottom. I stamped the sentiment in the bottom left corner. Nest I mounted the unicorns on 3d foam and stuck them down. I mounted the whole card on some glitter card and punched out a few glitter stars and added them to the card.

Sweet Stampin' Challenge

Saturday and another new challenge at

This week the theme from Team Abi is
CAS

CAS is really not my style but I had coloured this fab Little Monster digi by Goebie Designs for the 30 Day Colouring Challenge on Instagram, so decided to use him on a card. I recently bought a Gelli plate having no idea what to do with it but watched some videos on Youtube and decided to give it a go. I used 3 Distress Oxides in Peacock Feathers, Picked Raspberry and Twisted Citron to match the colours I'd coloured him with. I brayered them on the gelli plate and pressed the stencil onto it. I removed the stencil and pressed my white card onto it. It was fairly basic but I was happy with my first attempt. I used my TH stamping tool and stamped the quote onto it. I layered the  panel onto my card blank, added the monster on some foam pads and added some Nuvo drops.
