Inspired By A Book/Song/Film

 

 My card is inspired by the Madonna song Holiday. I coloured the image from All Dressed Up with copic markers to coordinate with my Nitwit Collections papers. I matted the papers onto my card base. I die cut the image using my Memory Box die and added it to the card. I die cut the sentiment using my Penny Black die and adhered that to the card. I finished off by adding the sentiment and the Holiday dictionary definition.

 I've used this beautiful image from Mo Manning and coloured her with copic markers, and paper piecing her dress.

I matted my patterned papers from Nitwit Collections onto my card and added the coloured image. I printed the Fabulous sentiment from LOTV and added that. I then die cut the Penny Black Happy Birthday and the name and the 40. I adhered them all to the card to finish it off.

 I've made a little thank you card using this super cute gingerbread man from Polkadoodles. I coloured him with Copics and gave him a little tartan hat and present. I matted some red gingham paper onto my card base. I cut the Tim Holtz sentiment die out of card and adhered it to the card. I then added the gingerbread man to the top of it. I finished it off with a gingerbread man button.

Anything But A Birthday 

I've made a card for a woman going on maternity leave. I coloured the Redonkadoodles image with my Copic markers and cut it out with my MFT stitched oval dies. I matted the Nitwit collection gingham paper onto my card blank. I cut the coordinating paper with my Grand Circle dies and matted that on to. I then added the coloured image. I then die cut the hearts in coordinating colours and layered them up. To finish off I added the sentiment which was cut on my ScanNCut.

Favourite Colour Combo

 

 I absolutely adore these papers from Nitwit collections. The colour combo is one of my favourites. Gorgeous Teal and Plum. I coloured this adorable image from The Paper Shelter with my copics in coordinating shades. I cut the teal patterned paper using one of my large Spellbinders dies and matted it onto some plum polka dot paper. I then added the coloured image and doodled around the edge with my black fineliner. I printed the birthday sentiment onto an extra in the paper collection and added that. I finished with some LOTV sentiments.

Firsts ( Birthdays, Day At School, Day At Work etc)

 

I coloured this little LOTV Number Bear with my copic markers and paper pieced the one using Nitwit Collections paper.  I cut the pink flower paper with the Tattered Lace die and layered it onto the pink gingham paper. I cut the image out with the wrapped stitched rectangle die and added it to the card. I stamped the Woodware birthday sentiment in the bottom right corner with black Versafine. Next I cut the Happy, ST, and name and added them to the card. To finish off I added the pink bow to the bear.

I coloured the Polkadoodles image with my copics and cut it out with my Spellbinders die. I layered up 2 of the Nitwit Slice Of Life papers and adhered the image to it.  I added the LOTV sentiment and printed out the other on my PC. I left room so I could add the name using the Sizzix Tim Holtz Tiny Type die. I doodled around the image and the sentiments with my black fineliner. Some little flowers to finish it off.

Crafts Galore Encore - October Challenge

 

As it's the first of the month, today I'm sharing my DT card for Crafts Galore Encore.   

For October it's another anything goes challenge.

The sponsor this month is Hetty Clare Art and the prize is 2 digi stamps from their store.

 I've made a simple card using the Smile image from Hetty Clare. I coloured her with  copics and cut out with my Spellbinders die.

I matted two of the Sweet Pea papers from Nitwit Collections together and then added the image. I finished with two die cut hearts and the Hugs sentiment stamp from Paper Smooches.

Crafts Galore Encore August Challenge

As it's the first of the month, today I'm sharing my DT card for Crafts Galore Encore.   

For August it's another anything goes challenge.

The sponsor this month is Beccy's Place  and the prize is a store voucher for $10AUD

For my card I've used one of the cats from The Cats Meow digital stamp set. I flipped the image once so I could have the cats facing towards each other. I then coloured them with my Copic markers giving them different markings. Next I stamped the mini paw prints on either side of them. Using the Memory Box Stitched Wrapped Rectangles die, I cut the images out.

I used Nitwit Collection papers and matted them onto my card base. I matted the cats onto some kraft card and added it to the card. I also matted one of the sentiments from the digi set on kraft card and added it to the card along with the birthday sentiment. I added some flowers and the cat Meow button to finish off.

Crafts Galore Encore July Challenge

As it's the first of the month, today I'm sharing my DT card for Crafts Galore Encore.   

For July it's another anything goes challenge.

 

The sponsor this month is Bugaboo Stamps and the prize is a $12 store voucher. 

I used the Birthday Troll from Bugaboo Stamps as the little girl loves Trolls. I coloured the image with my Copics and cut it out using a circle die.

I layered circles in pink card and some of the Nitwit papers to co ordinate with the base paper. I added a number 3 to the smallest circle and popped some 3D foam pads behind it for some dimension.

I cut out the Whimsy Happy sentiment die and added it to the bottom left and stamped the word birthday below it. I finished off with the PC printed sentiment and added the name using mini alpha stickers.

Vera Lane Studio - Elodie

Happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing my Vera Lane Studio DT project featuring an older release called Elodie which is available from the Etsy shop.

 

I made a postcard this week. I scored my card lengthways every ½ inch. Once I had done that I ran the Grey watercolour brush marker down the score lines and softened it with my waterbrush. I also scribbled some of the grey onto my glass mat and spritzed with water. I used this to wash over the panels in between. I then stamped one of the text stamps from the AALL & Create #338 Background Noise stamp set on each side using Versafine Clair Morning Mist. Next I added some paint splatters in green and blue using my Posca pens. To finish off the background I doodled some scallops with my black fineliner on the patterned paper and cut them out. I then adhered them to the top and bottom of the postcard and doodled all around the edge.

 

 

I coloured the image with my Copic markers and paper pieced her dress in the same patterned paper as the scallops.I added some highlights using my white gel pen. I then adhered her to the postcard. I finished it with the sentiment which I doodled round with my black fineliner. This must be one of my favourite colour combos!

Things With Wings

 

 I went with a slimline card using these super cute Gossip Chicks from Digi Doodle Studios. I coloured them with my copic markers and added highlights with my white gel pen. I then cut them out.

I used the Torn Edge slimline dies and cut out the layers with red card and a paper from the Sunny Side Up collection from Nitwit.

I adhered the patterned paper to the red torn edge layer and lined up the 3 red frames. I then adhered it to my white card base.

I then positioned the chickens and adhered them in place. I finished off with one of the sentiments from the set.

Crafts Galore Encore January Challenge

Happy New Year!

Today I'm delighted to share my first project for Crafts Galore Encore. I'm so excited to join this wonderful team. 

For January it's another anything goes challenge.

The sponsor this month is Sheepski Designs and the prize is 3 digi stamps.

 

I chose to use this fantastic gnome image called Giant Daisies.

Anyone who knows me knows that I'm a mega gnome fan. I can't count how many images and stamps I've got, so they were perfect for me. I coloured them with my copic markers, adding some highlights with my white gel pen and die cut them out using my Memory Box Wrapped Stitched circles.

I matted my Nitwit Collections Enchanting papers onto my card blank and added my die cut image. I then die cut out the Lawn Fawn Thanks script die x3 and glued them together to add some dimension. I popped this in the bottom right of my card. I finished off with 3 pearls.

I've used this fabulous Stamping Bella stamp called Ava Loves To Celebrate for my card this week. I coloured her with my copic markers and doodled around the edge with my black fineliner. I also stamped the sentiment from the SSS Wake Up And Makeup stamp set. I cut one of theNitwit papers using my large Spellbinder's circle dies and matted it onto the other. I printed out one of the elements from the Nitwit collection with the sentiment added and mounted it on 3D foam pads. I then stamped the lipstick and nail polish from the SSS stamp set and coloured them with my Copics, adding some Clear Wink Of Stella for some sparkle.

I added the lipstick next to the sentiment and finished the card off with the nail polish in the bottom right corner.

Anyone for cake?

The theme from Team Wendy is

Doodling

 

I've used this sweet image from Vera Lane Studio called Stitches. I coloured her as always with my copic markers. 

I ripped the floral paper from Nitwit Collections Authentique and matted onto the zigzag paper. I then hand sewed the cross stitches. I then doodled faux stitches around the edge. I stamped the background with the AALL and Create Heartfelt stamp in Versafine Clair Paradise using 2nd generation stamping.

 

I then stamped the Made With Love sentiment using AALL and Create Made With Love stamp set. I trimmed it down to individual words and doodled around the edge with a black fineliner.

The sew was stamped onto some canvas and the edges frayed. I also doodled some faux stitches around the edge of it.

To finish off I added some buttons and some thread to the needle.
