Sweet Stampin' Challenge

Saturday and time for another

Sweet Stampin' Challenge

The theme from Team Wendy is

International Women’s Day
(Girly Creations but NO PINK!)

I've made an art journal page using Oddball Frida from Stamping Bella. I coloured her with my copic markers and cut her out. I created the background using Lindy's Magical powders. I then stamped the flower stamps from the Papermania stamp set (which is years old!) I coloured them with Ecoline pens and doodled with my white gel pen. I stamped the leaves and coloured them too. I added white paint splatters to finish off the background. I added Frida and then attached the sentiment.

Journal Page - Stamping Bella Oddball Flamingos

I've made an art journal page using the Stamping Bella Oddball Flamingos. This is to add to my other pages featuring Oddball Albert and Oddball Edgar. I'm hoping to do a page for each of the oddball stamps I have.

Vera Lane Studio - Housework Whenever

Happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing my Vera Lane Studio DT project featuring this week's release called Housework Whenever which is available from the Etsy shop. This little lady better check out her washing machine before she washes her next load as she has a squatter in the machine..lol.

I've made a journal page. I started with a piece of card and using my Distress Oxides I blended some Shaded Lilac with my blending brushes and then went round the edges with Hickory Smoke.
Next I stamped all over using the Scripted Circles stamp from AALL & Create using the Shaded Lilac. I then stamped around the edges with the Reckoner Digits stamp using Versafine Clair Morning Mist. I then added some paint splatters using my white and yellow Posca pens. I coloured some Washi tape with my Yellow Copics and added some around the edges. To finish off the background I doodled around the edge with the yellow Posca pen.

I coloured up the girl from the Housework set using shades of lilac and yellow. I wanted to add a little fun to the page so added the mermaid from the Under The Sea set to the drum of the washing machine as a little aqua squatter. Isn't she cute?
Once I had adhered them to the page I added the white circles (bubbles) using my white Posca pen. To finish off I added the sentiment.

Vera Lane Studio - Sherlock Holmes

Happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing my Vera Lane Studio DT project featuring this week's release called Sherlock Holmes which is available from the Etsy shop.

I'm a huge Sherlock Holmes fan so I asked Janet if she would draw a Sherlock Holmes character and she didn't disappoint! (not that she ever does!)
I went with a small double journal spread.  I smooshed Squeezed Lemonade, Rustic Wilderness and Vintage Photo spritzed with water over both pages until I got the look I was happy with. I also scribbled the Deep Yellow Ecoline pen on my glass mat and added some water. I used this to add some darker yellow areas.
I then stamped the #262 MESH stamp randomly over the pages using the same Oxide colours. Next I used the  #456 Snippet Alphabet and stamped 221B (Baker Street) in Versafine Clair Nocturne a couple of times including off the page. I also added some question marks (Whodunnit?)

I then used one of the stamps from #211 Count On You and stamped it a few times. I then cut out some shoeprints on my ScanNCut and used them as a stencil. I sponged through with Black Soot.
I finished the background with some white paint splatters.
I then coloured and cut out Sherlock, Toby and one of the sentiments,
I printed out the dictionary definitio of detective and adhered it on the right page. I then added Sherlock and Toby just above it.
I finished the pages by adding the sentiment to the left hand page and doodling around it with my black fineliner.

Elementary Dear Watson!

Vera Lane Studio - Cinderella

Happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing my Vera Lane Studio DT project which is a double 6x6 journal spread featuring the new release this week called Cinderella which is available from the Etsy shop.

I started by brayering some Arteza Pearl Sky Blue over both pages. I then brayered some Pearl White over the blue. It's got such a beautiful sheen but difficult to photograph.
I then stamped AALL & Create stamps #468 Scripted Stars and #485 Reverse Stars randomly over the pages using Salty Ocean Distress Oxide. I then coloured in the small stars using a blue metallic pencil. I then splattered some Molotow white acrylic paint over the pages.

Next I printed out the images and coloured them in with my Copic markers. I thenfussy cut them out. I added the glass slipper in the bottom right page and added some clear wink of stella to add some sparkle. I added the Believe strip of washi tape on the left hand side and added Cinderella to it. I added some clear wink of stella to her dress and tiara.  I also added some highlights with my white gel pen.
To finish off I added the sentiment over the two pages and outlined it with my blue fineliner.
