Vera Lane Studio - Useful Quotes

Happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing my Vera Lane Studio DT project featuring this week's soft release called Useful Quotes which is available from the Etsy shop. I've paired it with an older set called Pleiades.

I've made a slimline card this week. I blended distress oxides in Salty Ocean, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot in order starting from the centre and working outwards. I then stamped the #468 Scripted Stars in Chipped Sapphire and then when it was dry I overstamped it with my Versamark ink pad and clear embossed it with WOW Clear Gloss embossing powder. I used my Tim Holtz stamping platforn to get it perfectly lined up. I spritzed some water over the background and dried it off. Then I flicked some watered down Paperartsy Snowflake white paint over the background with my fan paint brush. Using my white gel pen I added some white sparkles.

Once the background was finished I printed out the sentiment quote and image and coloured her with my Copic markers, adding some white dots to her dress. I then fussy cut her out along with the stars. To finish off I added a piece of washi tape and adhered her to the background along with the quote.

Vera Lane Studio - A Christmas Wish

Happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing my Vera Lane Studio DT project featuring Live Joyfully and Christmas Tree which are available in the Vera Lane Studio Etsy shop.

I wanted to make a little slimline plaque. I used some wood effect paper I had with snow on it and cut it down to 7.5x3.5 inches. I them stamped randomly over the edges using some of the stamps in the  AALL And Create #338 Background Noise set using Versamark clear ink. I then heat embossed them in Copper, Gold and white WOW embossing powders. I also stamped one of the stamps with Paperartsy Fresco Snowflake White acrylic paint. I then glued it down onto some greyboard to give it some strength.

I merged one of the trees from the Christmas Tree set and  one of the girls from Live Joyfully with her crown so she looked like a fairy.

I coloured her in Copper and Gold tones to keep with the colour scheme, and added some white highlights with my gel pen and some clear Wink Of Stella to her wings and crown. I used the star stamp from the AALL And Create #419 Moonlight set and stamped and embossed with gold embossing powder on the Christmas tree. To make the trunk I added a little bit of corrugated card for some texture.

To finish off I printed out the sentiment and doodled around the edge with my black fineliner.

I made this cute little thank you card using this lovely stamp from Concord and 9th called Hello Lovely.
I heat embossed it in silver and coloured it with my Zig Clean Colour  Real Brush markers (No Copics!)
I kept it to teal and grey shades.
I mounted it on some grey cardstock and stamped the sentiments from the  set in the bottom right corner.
I finished it off with some clear raindrops.

This week I've made a tag. I used some Craft Creations Frosty Winter Aqua card and inked all around it with Cosmic Shimmer Frosty Aqua Colour Cloud blending ink. I then stamped the Inkylicious trees with the same ink and then overstamped with Versamark and added some WOW sparkly embossing powder. I did the same around the edge to add a bit more sparkle. I then stamped the verse in Black Versafine. The white seam binding was also inked with the Frosty Aqua so it matches perfectly.
