Card For A Special Lady

Sorry I've been MIA for the last week, but I've been really busy what with,Halloween parties, getting my scrapbook class sorted and doing commissioned cards,I've had no time to do much else.I didn't even know I'd won the Sketch Saturday challenge from last week, until I saw the message from Sharon. So thanks Sharon for letting me know.
I also had a card to make for a special lady.I know she's already received the card so I can post it.My good friend and bloggy buddy Kath has her birthday today. So pop over to her fantastic blog and wish her a happy day.Kath makes the most amazing cards. For my card I actually did cut up my beloved Melissa Frances papers.I've stroked them lovingly for a long time, but decided that the time had come to use them.Believe you me,only Kath was worth the cutting...lol.I find them really hard to get here and I just adore them. The image is from a Stampin'Up Hostess Set called Oh,So Lovely.I stamped the background
mesh a few times and then masked the main flower and stamped it a few times at different levels.Coloured with copic markers.I also hand stitched (gasp!) round the edge of the card, after using my Cutter Bee Bug of course to make the holes.

I'll also be hoping to catch up with everyone,to see what lovely crafty creations you've all been making.Hope everyone has a great weekend, whatever you're doing.

Copic Colour Challenge #15

I managed to get a card made in time for the Copic Colour Challenge this week.Last week I had the image coloured but didn't get time to make up a card with it so was determined to do it this week..This image I had coloured last week but only got round to making up the card last night. These were the colours we were to use.

I used the Gorjuss Girl from set 2 called "Bear Hug". I'm at the "coos tail" with these rubber stamps and also the Miss Anyas.I kept dithering on whether I really liked them or not,so by time I decide they're old news....lol.

Just A Card

No challenge card this time, just a Gorjuss girl I had coloured in.I finally decided to use some papers I've had for quite a while and not wanted to cut up.They're BoBunny Bella Journee Santorini range. That shows how old they are.I bought 3 sets, the others being Tuscany and Eire.So as the papers were vivid red and blue,I coloured this Gorjuss girl in using those colours.I finally used a sizzix die I'd bought a while back to make the branch and flowers. The other bits are die cuts from the same Santorini range.

Weather isn't very nice here today.A wee bit chilly and no sign of the sun.Hope everyone is enjoying the bank holiday.

The Sugar Bowl Challenge 11 sketch by Kathy

The challenge over at the Sugar Bowl was a sketch by Kathy and you were to include pearls.I decided to use my Basic Grey Wisteria pad instead of just looking at it and another Gorjuss girl too.Again I'm not quite happy with this, can't decide what it is (think I'm never happy with cards....lol).The flowers I made by punching out the Wisteria papers and really crumpling them up.I think it gives a really good effect.(distressed...lol).I did some recently for a scrapbook LO and everyone thought they were fabric.
I rotated the sketch and have also included the pearls. Both in the centre of the flowers and also in the top left corner.I'm just back from Body Combat so off to relax for the rest of the evening and maybe finish another card that's nearly done.

80th Birthday

I thought I better get another post on before the weekend as I've got a 2 day demo coming up. I'll be demoing the Pazzles Inspiration cutter. I'm a bit nervous as I've not had it long to play with, but at least the software was familiar as I bought the Funtime software to use with my Craft Robo.

Anyway this is another 8x8 card that I made for an 80th birthday. The image is Pearls and Plumes by Hampton Art Stamps. I coloured her with my Prismacolours. The PP is from the Vita Bella range from My Little Yellow Bicycle. The blue lace was in a bag of lace I won in a blog candy giveaway by Beautifullily. The flowers are Flora Doodles with an antique metal and blue gem brad also from the Vita Bella range.I also added some pearls hanging behind the flower. The Happy Birthday is from a HOTP set and I stamped it onto a tag again from the Vita Bella range,as is the foiled photo corner. The 80 is chipboard numbers from a Brenda Pinnick kit.

Thanks for looking

Mini Pocket Book

Well I finally decided to take my Bind-It-All out of it's box and use it. I was lucky enough to see Nicki from Trimcraft demo'ing the BIA and decided I must really use mine. Morag our scrapbook teacher is leaving to go back to the USA and so I decided rather than make a card,I'd make a mini book. I thought of having the pockets so I could make lots of little tags (cut on the Craft Robo) for all the girls to write something personal on. I used the lovely Dovecraft Papers which are in shades of black, white and fuchsia pink. The sentiment on the front was from a HOTP kit and the flowers are Dahlia Blend Flora Doodles from Joanna Sheen. I added loads of contrasting ribbons to the wires.
Inside I used Papermania fuschia pink cardstock and again it's all decorated with the Dovecraft papers and matching brads. I've also used more of the flowers inside. The inner front cover has a good luck verse which is matted onto fuchsia pink card cut with the new multishaper punches from Docrafts. I've put in lots of photos from our night out and added lots of little scrapbooking quotes from scrapbook.com.
I've only uploaded a few of the pages to give the general idea of what's in it.

And Now For.................

Eloise Greengrass.

Eloise is another fairy from the Chichiboulie range at Stamping Bella.
I've loved colouring this little fairy in.I've used my Prismacolors in two shades of pink. I then restamped her dress on vellum and coloured again with the pale pink colour.I cut it out and used Glamour dust round the edges. I used silicon glue to attach it above her dress. I really love the effect it gives.I used Glamour Dust round her wings too.
She's mounted onto pink Bazzill bling cut
with my Nestabilities. The PP is Disney with some sparkle on the stars.Sentiment is Woodware and stamped onto card embossed with Swiss dots folder. The flower and ribbon is from HOTP and the metal flower embellishment is from The Paper Company. I finally added the little corners which were from Tesco.
I am really pleased with how she turned out,not sure about the rest of the card though. (I don't want to give her away now!)...lol.
