Golden Wedding........

This is a card I was asked to make a few weeks ago.It was to be a special card from 6 girls for a Golden Wedding Anniversary. I decide to make it 8x8 as that's a very special size and I seem to be making quite a few of them lately. I used Papermania Silk Screened Paper (Gold Ornate Metallic).I then took another piece and ran it through the Cuttlebug with the Script embossing folder,tore the edges and inked it to look old.I added a piece of vintage looking lace around it.The hearts were stamped and embossed with gold embossing powder. (I think the stamp is an Anita's one)I matted them onto cream hammered card,punched two eyelets with my Crop-A-Dile and tied a bow between the two with gold ribbon. The 50 chipboard numbers were from a Brenda Pinnick kit that I embossed with gold too.The ivory organza ribbon I ran down the length of the card and added a row of ivory pearls,a bow and two ivory heart shaped pearls.To finish it I wrote the sentiment on the Robo and matted it onto some left over gold card and added two gold brads.


I'd also like to enter this card into Kerry's (A Load Of Old Pickle) blog candy challenge to celebrate 10,000 hits on her blog. Well done Kerry!. The challenge was to make a card using Kerry's favourite crafty essential,which is ribbon.

    Hi Cass and I think this is the most perfect Golden Wedding card any couple could receive. I love all the lovely details and the ribbon linked hearts. I'd love to know how you make these 8x8 cards? Wondering if you've managed to get some card blanks that size or if you've had to engineer it yourself! I love this size of card. Chris x
