Stu asked me if I could make a birthday card for his friend's little boy for his birthday. I used red cardstock for the base card. The PP is K&Co Kazoo Kids as is the number 2 which I matted onto green Bazzill and red card. The train image is from the Making Tracks download from NitWit Collections, which I covered with glossy accents.Matted onto green Bazzill and red card. The ticket is also from the Making Tracks collection. I matted it onto some red card and stamped the Happy Birthday and Your Special Day with Woodware clear stamps and the name was using a Studio G alphabet.I ran a strip of red card through the Cutlebug with the Happy Birthday embossing folder.I finished it off with some buttons and ribbon.
I also decided to decorate the inside with matching K&Co Kazoo Kids PP. I printed the verse off and mounted it onto green and red card again and added 4 brads. Stu drew the tracks for me and I cut them on the Craft Robo and made them into a little photo frame,to add a birthday picture to.The carriage was again from the Making Tracks collection and I again added glossy accents and stamped the sentiment with a Studio G clear stamp. To finish it off i made a matching box and covered it with K&Co Kazoo Kids PP,tag and grand adhesion.
This is my second card to be made using the fabulously talented Kerry's doodle stamps. I've used the cowgirl image and coloured her with my Prismacolor pencils. I also washed slightly around the image to give it a less harsh look than stark white.I've matted her onto caramel coloured cardstock and added 4 caramel coloured brads to the corners. At the bottom I've used a booty loop double brad in the earthy tones from Karen Foster Design and tied them with the brown scrappers floss in the pack. I've used caramel coloured plain card and matted the plaid PP which is from K&Co Kazoo Kids collection onto it.I decided to try and use my new Cutter Bee Bug gadgets to prick the paper. They have single, double and zig zag for different stitches. I tried freehand which didn't work too well,so my faux stitching is very rustic and distressed....pmsl .It adds to the shabby look (that's my excuse!)Anyway I used my brown Callipen to do the faux stitching, both zig zag and ummm single row straight???.....lmao. The other PP is the reverse of the K&Co and very western themed so was perfect for the image. Again I've used the Cutter Bee Bugs for the faux stitching. The sentiment is from Studio G and the western metal embellishment is a mini western charm from Karen Foster Designs fixed with a caramel brad.
