Sweet Stampin' Challenge

Saturday means another new challenge at

This weeks theme from Team Abi is
Just For Men

Our lovely sponsor this week is
Yours Or Mine Papercrafts
with a fantastic $10 voucher
Well after saying I rarely make male cards unless I really have to,I've made a few in the last few weeks. There was no getting away with it this week as the challenge was Just For Men (or boy in my case)
I've used 3 stamps by Christy Croll for Stamping Bella.I bought these stamps years ago direct from Stamping Bella and have to admit this was my first time using them.I used my Stampin' Up Thing-a-ma-jig to line them up.I cut the robot card shape on my Cricut using the Robotz cartridge. The cogs in the robot's mouth are laser cut and coloured with my blue Wink Of Stella pen.

Christening LO

Shock gasp....another scrapbook page! This is the Christening LO I was teaching my scrapbook class last night.
BoBunny PP cut into a scalloped square using the Cricut Accent Essentials cart and mounted onto fawn Bazzill CS.
Fawn Bazzill Bling cut into a bible shape and gold mirri card cut into the filigree cross using the Cricut Wedding cart.
Fawn Bazzill Bling cut into the word faith and gold mirri card cut into the scrolls on the Cricut using the Home Accents cart.
Rhonna Farrer swirls stamped using Distress Ink in Walnut
The pages of the bible are cut using a pale cream cardstock that has a subtle line on it which looked good for the pages, again from the Cricut Wedding cart.
Fiskars punches for the fancy border from more BoBunny PP and also for threading the ribbon through from a golden mulberry paper.
Golden embroidery thread to make the tassles, golden ribbon, prima flowers and brads to finish.

Thanks For Looking

Just Good Friends

This is the first of my layouts I had to do for the Scrapbooking demo at Craftology last week. The papers are Fancy Pants and called Envision from the Daydreams collection. The acetate overlay is the glittered Pink Frame. I affixed it with glue dots and two Dovecraft spotty red brads. The title was cut on the Cricut Expression from red Bazzill card with the Plantin Schoolbook Font. The flower was also cut on the Cricut using the Play and Confetti paper and the flower border is Laugh which are all from the Celebrate range. I layered the flower with silicone glue in the centres and added the Dovecraft red spotty brad.I also curled the petals. The tag is cut on the Cricut with the Tags cartridge from Confetti and I've slid red grosgrain ribbon through and affixed two Dovecraft blue spotty brads at either end.
This was taken on my friend Vivienne's 40th Birthday.

I had a fabby two days demo'ing at Craftology with the lovely Nicki from Trimcraft doing the Bind-It-All,Carol (Craft Heaven)doing the Cuttlebug and Cricut and Carol (Craftology) doing the Cricut and Design Studio.

Poppies

Well after 4 months of no scrapping and having no inspiration to do so,I've finally managed to do a layout. I've been playing about with a few for weeks but finished this one yesterday. I'm still not sure how I feel about it,or if I've got my mojo back, but it's done and at least it's a step on the way. I took the poppy photo at Almondvale Heritage Centre back in August 2007 and decided to use it. I had already done a Print&cut decoupage of it for a card (which you can see in a previous post) and also added that to the LO. Not sure if decoupage on a LO is the right thing to do,but I did it anyway. I cut all the swirls on a Cricut at a crop and also cut the Basic Grey paper into Scallops with it.The large P is a Bazzill really big letter and the rest I cut on my Robo. The font is called Coaster. Used my Crop-A-Dile to set the eyelets and threaded some red, black and white ribbon through.
