I'm delighted to have been asked by the lovely Wends to be a Digital GDT for Whimsy Stamps for the month of July.
I've made this slimline card using the Bumble Bear Smile digi stamp.
I made the background panel using Wild Honey and Fossilized Amber Distress Oxides. I cut it out with the Whimsy Slimline Card Builder die. I then added the honeycomb die cuts to the top and bottom of the panel. I added some black paint splats and the mini bumble bee embellishments and matted it onto black card.
I coloured the Bumble Bear Smile image with my Copic markers and cut it out. I then adhered it to the card. I finished off with the Bee Happy Sentiment.

This is gorgeous Cass! We're so happy to have you designing with us this month and LOVE what you've done! Fabulous creation hun. Hugs, Wends xoxo
ReplyDeleteCass, love this. What technique did you use on the background. I don't think I've seen that before and I want to try!
ReplyDeleteCari, I used a scrunched up piece of cellophane. Added some of each colour of Distress Oxide to my glass mat. Spritzed with some water. Dipped the cellophane into the watered down oxide and smooshed it onto the card one colour at a time drying between colours until I was happy with it. I then used a Black Posca pen and splattered some black onto it. Hope that helps. It's so easy. xx
DeleteThanks Cass, I am going to give it a try! Hope it comes out half as nice as yours.
